About the Doom

Glad you’re curious.

This silly little website exist only as an exercise of futility in a fight against modern social media. A totally hopeless battle.

I found myself disagreeing with the values and motivations being carried by the companies at the helm of the social media platforms I was using. I believe that this was an unfixable relation, my personal beliefs and ethics where diametrical to the social media I was a part of. I had come to a crossroads where I could try to fight a battle against the current, where I would most definitely loose or I could do things my way, a stupid road (More on that later). I firmly believe that the medium is message. Taking this to heart I decided to no longer participate in the traditional social media platforms I was a part of an thus decided to create this website, motivated by my good friend Jimena’s example.

The stupid road I decided to go down is a road where this website and any IT stuff I may use is mostly done my way. What I mean with that is, I will refuse to use services where everything is simple pre build with a friendly UI for people who could not be bother on understanding how things work. Why? Because as I said before, I am an idiot.

Here in this obelisk dedicated my my stupidity you will be pleased to find completely random things. I plan to talk about my interests, run a blog and many other things.

Indeed. In this website you will be able to come across all mater of things. Ephemeral thoughts to interesting facts about mathematics. I hope to bring a couple of my friends over to the doom cult - coff coff - Doom club, I mean. As I was saying.

All that being said, the website is still under development and I am constantly trying to find a proper visual language to express what can only be found here. I can only hope that this wont be a waste of your time. Thanks for visiting curious mind.
